College Park Here & Now comes to your mailbox—and to the mailbox of every other city resident—at no charge each month. Our paper connects our community and makes voter information available to all.
However, independent, quality, comprehensive local news is not free to produce. Ads from local businesses and a contract with the city to carry its monthly newsletter help cover distribution and production expenses.
But how do we pay for our award-winning content? How does our nonprofit publisher, Streetcar Suburbs Publishing, support the high-quality editing, the sustained coverage of beats that give you context, our weekly email newsletter and online events calendar, and the timely news updates you can get all month long at collegeparkhere.com?
Readers like you, who value local news and information that helps keep our communities strong, make it possible.
Thank you to the more than 150 donors who have helped us raise about $12,500 since Nov. 1 toward our year-end goal of $20,000.
This year, a group of local donors stepped up to double the match we receive from NewsMatch, a national philanthropic movement to support public-service journalism. With their help, reaching our $20,000 fundraiser goal will mean triple that amount in funds to support quality, sustainable journalism across the three cities where we publish newspapers, covering local issues from city government to public events, unique residents and programs for seniors.
We need your help to keep high-quality content coming in 2026. You still have time to join the community of donors who strengthen hyperlocal nonprofit news. Every donation made in December will be matched—twice—dollar for dollar, up to $1,000. That means a $100 gift becomes $300, tripling your investment in College Park Here & Now and the work we do.
We’re counting on you to help us reach our goal of $20,000. Are you in?
