Scouts help clean up Hyattsville

Posted on: March 30, 2015

BY CAROLYN MILLER — On Tuesday, Mar 24, the Cub Scouts in Pack 224 conducted a neighborhood clean-up as a part of their required duty to country.

The pack met at St. Jerome’s Academy, and they cleaned up the block around St. Jerome’s. They filled four trash bags in just that one block. They concentrated especially around the rainwater drainage areas to be sure that the trash did not make it to the Anacostia River.

The Cubs enjoyed helping their community and treated each piece of litter found as if it were a treasure.
