BY REBECCA BENNETT – Updated May 5 at 12:05 a.m. Three Hyattsville schools presented parts of a gratitude quilt to the City of Hyattsville as a part of Children’s Mental Health Awareness week at the May 4 Hyattsville City Council Meeting. The city said participating students were from Hyattsville Elementary School, Edward M. Felegy Elementary School, and Rosa L. Park Elementary School.
“The city partnered with the Children’s Mental Health Matters Campaign a collaboration of the Mental Health Association of Maryland (MHAMD) and the Maryland Coalition of Families (MCF) with support from the Behavioral Health Administration and MD CARES for this initiative,” a city memo said.
The quilts will be displayed on the first floor of the Hyattsville Municipal Building.
