BY REBECCA BENNETT — According to Riverdale Farmers Market organizer Jim Coleman, the winter market will run Thursdays starting today, Jan. 8, and running until to March 26 from 3 to 7 p.m. Coleman says this year will feature design ideas from Neighborhood Design Center. There will also be live music from 5 to 7 p.m and the market will have hot food options, he said.
The indoor location of the winter market is right next door to its outdoor location, by the Riverdale MARC station. It is the same building where Riverdale held its holiday market in December, which is in the 6200 block of Rhode Island Avenue.
