BY REBECCA BENNETT —  The Prince George’s County School System (PGCPS) announced the 2015-16 school year lottery for public charter schools opened Nov. 3 and will run until Jan. 30, 2015. There are no attendance boundaries for these charter schools, so any county family may apply.

Applications can be filed for each child online: https://forms.pgcps.org/charters/

Families wishing to know more about PGCPS public charter schools can attend one of several open houses.  School officials say the College Park Academy in Hyattsville, which serves middle schoolers, will hold open houses on Nov. 18 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Jan. 12, 2015, from 6 to 7 p.m.
