Survey deadline extended to July 3 at 5:00pm

The hunt is on for University Park Elementary School, which is looking for a new principal.  It kicked off its search with a community forum on July 1.

The school is also reaching out to parents and future parents of UPES students to weigh in on which skills and characteristics are most important for the incoming principal.

Outgoing principal Nancy Shickner wrote this in a letter to parents:

It has been a pleasure to serve as the principal for the last five years. Thank you for welcoming me into your hearts and trusting me with the safety and well-being of your children. I leave knowing that University Park Elementary will continue to shine because of the talented students, amazing staff, teachers, and great families. I wish you all the very best!
