After its fate was in flux, the Hyattsville Farmers Market opened Tuesday.  The market included fresh produce, baked goods, plants, and information about the supplemental nutrition program known as WIC (Women Infants Children).

Market organizer Ellarose Preston, Acting City Clerk for the City of Hyattsville, said that more vendors were expected as the season picked up, including fruit and more baked goods.

Starting June 24, the Hyattsville Farmer’s Market will take place on Tuesdays through October from 2 to 6pm in the parking lot of 3505 Hamilton Street.
