According to the Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department, Vanessa Lugo and Krista Barham, who are both currently probationary members taking EMT courses, participated in a 9/11 stair climb on Saturday. The event at National Harbor draws hundreds of participants. Proceeds from the event go to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
