Flash floods possible for Prince George’s County Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for north-central Prince George’s County and other parts of the region until 3:45 p.m. A flash flood watch continues through late tonight. Check the NWS website for the latest information.

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR…
SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND…
SOUTHEASTERN HOWARD COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND…
SOUTHERN BALTIMORE COUNTY IN NORTHERN MARYLAND…
NORTH CENTRAL PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND…
NORTHWESTERN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND…
BALTIMORE CITY IN NORTHERN MARYLAND…

* UNTIL 345 PM EDT

* AT 1240 PM EDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
VERY HEAVY RAIN CAPABLE OF PRODUCING FLASH FLOODING. RADAR
ESTIMATES AND GROUND TRUTH REPORTS INDICATE THAT 2 INCHES OF RAIN
HAVE ALREADY FALLEN ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE WARNED AREA. ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 2 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED.
