BY MARK GOODSON — Ryan T. Perpall, a DeMatha senior, founded StartUp-DM, an organization consisting of 25 students who are interested in entrepreneurial pursuits. On April 23, the group held it’s second speaker forum which featured entrepreneurs Shahab Kaviani, CEO & Co-Founder of CoFoundersLab.com; Felecia Genet, Co-Founder of the Be In The Know App; and Orin Solomon, a serial entrepreneur and marketing expert.

Perpall was inspired to found the organization after his summer experience in the DC I-Corps “Young Innovators Program.” The two week mock start-up course ignited his passion for business. This is the second speaker event the group has spearheaded, the first was held in November and featured DeMatha alumni with entrepreneurial experience.
