County conducts transit district survey

Posted on: June 24, 2014

BY REBECCA BENNETT — The Prince George’s County Planning Department is conducting a survey to find out what kind of transportation residents are using around the Prince George’s Plaza Metro Station.  The department says it is updating the transit district development plan (TDDP) for that area.  They want to know:

• how residents, workers, and visitors travel in and through the area
• how we can make the area safer and more convenient for pedestrians, bikers, transit riders, and drivers

Among the information asked from participants is what kind of transportation they use and how often they take public transportation.  The survey also asks what residents need to be encouraged to walk to the metro more frequently.  Options include better retail and dining options around the metro, more bike amenities, better sidewalks, and less traffic.

Participants who complete the survey can enter a drawing for a $100 gift card.
