BY REBECCA BENNETT — According to the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD), a woman was sexually assaulted while waiting at a bus stop in Riverdale Park. The attack happened on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at approximately 5:50 a.m. in the 4300 block of Queensbury Road, PGPD said.

The suspect approached the victim, who was waiting at a bus stop, when he struck her and forced her into a nearby car.  The man sexually assaulted her and then fled the area, according to police.


Police canvassed the surrounding neighborhood Wednesday evening to gather more information.  Detectives also released video of a person of interest they say they would like to speak to in connection with the case.

Authorities described the suspect as a black male, around 5’10” with a thin build. He had on a black long sleeve shirt with a white shirt over it and a white baseball cap, they said, and he was driving a black four-door car.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case.
