BY SUSIE CURRIE — Look for a flurry of activity in the coming months at the new retail center at the corner of Jefferson Street and Route 1. Elevation Burger became the first shop to open in Arts District Hyattsville on Tuesday, April 5; by the end of the month, it had been joined by Yogi Castle and Essential Day Spa. The spa is the second location for owner Kevin Nguyen, whose first is near IKEA in College Park.
According to Guy Silverman, who is managing the project for Streetsense, several more businesses will be open by the end of the summer.
