BY REBECCA BENNETT — Students from César Chávez Dual Spanish Immersion School were asked to use a $250 donation from online grocer Peapod.com to create a delivery order for the Takoma Park Food Pantry.  According to a press release, fourth grade students used nutrition and budgeting lessons to organize a complete order that they then helped unload from a Peapod delivery truck at the food pantry on Jan. 27.

The goal of the program is to teach students about nutrition, shopping on a budget, and how to give back to local food banks, a press release said.
