Laurel Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a group of individuals involved in a string of break-ins and burglaries at businesses at the Town Centre at Laurel on April 13.
The incident happened along the 14800 block of Baltimore Avenue at the Town Centre during the early morning hours, according to the Laurel Police Department. A group of at least two individuals broke into BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Miss Toya’s Southern Kitchen, Buffalo Wild Wings and Sarku Japan.
Laurel Police released video of the incident Tuesday, showing two individuals exiting a white Honda Accord before breaking into restaurants in the town center.
Laura Guenin, public information officer for the Laurel Police Department, told The Laurel Independent that the burglars stole cash boxes from the businesses, including a small amount of money.
“They were smashing [the windows] of all the businesses,” she said. “Luckily, most of these businesses has deposited their cash before they left at the end of the night.”
Guenin said businesses in Prince George’s County and Anne Arundel County also were burglarized during the same time frame. Police believe the incidents are connected.
“We’re asking for help to identify these people,” she said. “We assume somebody can help us figure out who they are.”
Anyone with information concerning the burglaries can contact the Laurel Police Department tip line at 301-498-0092 or email LPDtips@laurel.md.us.
