Two people are dead and one injured after an early morning shooting in the 600 block of Lafayette Avenue in Laurel, according to a press release issued by the Laurel Police Department. Officers responded to a confirmed shooting at approximately 1:34 a.m. on March 12 and discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One died at the scene, the other was transported to a local hospital and died. A third victim is receiving treatment after self-transporting to a hospital. The victims were not identified in the press release.
