Hyattsville roads improving: plows active, side streets slick

Approximately 4pm Monday, Jan. 26.

Route 1 and MD 410 (East-West Highway) are now clear in Hyattsville, as are Queens Chapel and Adelphi. Watch out for the turn from Queenschapel onto Queensbury. Queensbury has been plowed but does not have two clear lanes. 42nd Ave. is plowed and clear but slick.

The turn from Armentrout to Alt. Route 1 is clear.

Local roads remain treacherous, especially at intersections and on hills. Some appear to have been plowed only once early in the storm.

7-11, McDonalds, and Exxon are open. Walgreens remains closed.
