On Saturday, Hyattsville residents converged on David C. Driskell Community Park for the 11th Annual Green Festival hosted by the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment in partnership with the City of Hyattsville.

The event celebrates sustainability with exhibits, demonstrations, workshops and fun activities for the whole family. Participants included PEPCO, Hyattsville Police Department, Joe’s Movement Emporium as well as numerous food vendors.

Prince George’s County Executive Aisha N. Braveboy was also in attendance. “I’m excited to be here in the city of Hyattsville,” she said at the event. She continued, “I want to thank the mayor, the council and the administration here in Hyattsville. Hyattsville has always been one of our more progressive municipalities and oftentimes led the way on issues such as the environment and many other important issues impacting us.”
