Rockin Tots: Are you looking for something cool, musical and rockin’ for your toddlers in the neighborhood? Well, look no more: Just Rock will be hosting a weekly Mommy and Me or Daddy and Me toddler music class called Rockin Tots. Your young artists will get a chance to get a little exposure in voice, piano, drums, beatboxing all while jamming out with the coolest moms or dads ever, soon to be toddler bandmates and one of our Just Rock Artist Instructors. Every Saturday starting September 24th (excluding holiday weekends); $15 per rockin tot and $10 per rockin tot sibling (per class). This Old Warehouse 2016: Community Forklift will host “This Old Warehouse,” a free fall festival. Meet historic preservation experts and tradespeople, and attend free workshops on topics like wood window restoration and electrical systems in old homes. National Public Lands Day: The city invites volunteers to celebrate National Public Lands Day at one of our local parks. Community Craft Party: Share some love with the community during this open house style craft party. Use all the things (including felt, paper, yarn, fabric, ribbon, markers and stamps) to craft a message #craftivism style. Use the supplies of your choice to craft a palm size message that begins with the words, “You Are” and includes the hashtag #YASVB on the back. No prior crafting experience needed! Carnival-Style Birthday Celebration and Fundraiser for 3-year-old cancer warrior Michael Sipe: There will be lots of carnival games and free play and hot dogs and cupcakes for a donation. Free play highlights include: backyard playground with curly slide, toddler rollercoaster, sidewalk chalk, beanbag toss, fishing for prizes, costume chest.  Scheduled events include: Magic show performed by our neighborhood 10 year old magicians, facepainting (confirmation pending), limbo contest and an adult vs. kids dance-off. Sunday, Sept. 25:

Concert Across America to End Gun Violence: University United Methodist, in connection with the University of Maryland School of Music and the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center and in partnership with the nationwide Concert Across America, is hosting a concert to remember and honor the victims of America’s gun violence epidemic. With performances from Aldersgate Choir, Buck Lodge Middle School, the University of Maryland School of Music and Taratibu Youth Association, we will be singing for peace to raise the volume on the national effort to save lives from gun violence. This event is open to the public, attendees need not subscribe to any particular faith or political affiliation. Join us as we come together to end gun violence, advocate for justice and usher in peace. Free, 3 p.m., 3621 Campus Drive, College Park
