On April 24, 2025, The Hyattsville Life & Times hosted a candidate forum for those running for election for the Hyattsville City Council, asking the candidates questions submitted by residents. We have edited the video above to start with the first question, as we experienced audio challenges with some of the candidates opening statements.
We offered all candidates the opportunity to re-record their opening statements, and posted those we received below.

As of this writing, we have not received opening statements from Ward 1 candidates Greg Barnes, Stuart Eisenberg, or Scott Wilson; from Ward 2 candidate Lisbeth Melendez Rivera; or from Ward 4 Edouard Haba, who is running unopposed.
