BY REBECCA BENNETT — According to a spokesperson for ALDI, the grocery chain is holding hiring events in Lanham, Md. and Alexandria, Va. for several of its local stores, including the Hyattsville location at a 3025 Hamilton Street. The 30 store associate positions Aldi is looking to fill also include Beltsville, Langley Park, Lanham, Oxon Hill, Alexandria, Va., Springfield, Va. and Woodbridge, Va. locations.

The positions start at $13 per hour, according to ALDI, and include other benefits for staff members working at least 25 hours per week, such as full health insurance, dental coverage and a 401(k) retirement program.
According to a press release, applicants must be 18 years old to apply, have a high school diploma or GED, must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday through Sunday, and have the ability to lift 45 pounds. ALDI said retail experience is preferred and applicants will undergo drug screening and a background check.
The grocery chain operates nearly 1,500 stores in 32 states.
