BY REBECCA BENNETT  — According to the City of Hyattsville, Operation Santa with a Badge expects more than 100 police cars to escort children of low-income families from Magruder Park to the Mall at Prince Georges to go shopping on Saturday, Dec. 13. The group, which includes more than 100 children, will then congregate at Northwestern High School for a celebratory lunch with Santa, the city said.

Anyone traveling through the area should be advised a line of police cruisers from Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania will be traveling through the area between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

The Hyattsville Life & Times is joining the entourage and we will have a full report this weekend.
