BY REBECCA BENNETT — The members of the Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department (HVFD) are mourning the loss of beloved mascot, 6-year-old Hailey, who passed away peacefully on Jan. 1 after a brief battle with cancer.
Hailey was 16 weeks old when she came to HVFD from the Washington Animal Rescue League in April 2010 with her Rottweiler sisters, Rylie and Lilla.
