BY CAROLINE SELLE — The Jan. 5 Hyattsville City Council meeting also saw a presentation from the attorney and developers involved in the proposed development at the former Kiplinger Editors Press site, which is on East West Highway across from the Mall at Prince Georges.
According to the presentation, developers are aiming for a cohesive feel between the multiple structures on site and the surrounding area. Luxury apartments and single family townhouses are planned, with the apartments bordering East West Highway and the townhouses towards the rear of the property. Attorney Bill Schiff said retail is still on the site plan, but “it’s trailing behind.”
