BY REBECCA BENNETT — On Saturday, April 18, the parade celebrating the 129th anniversary of Hyattsville kicked off from Hyattsville Middle School. Local residents gathered along the parade route, which included 42nd Avenue, Jefferson Street, 38th Street, and Hamilton Street.

The City of Hyattsville posted a video detailing behind the scenes of the parade.

Those walking in the parade included local government officials, government departments, community groups, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
