BY REBECCA BENNETT — The 129th Anniversary Hyattsville City Carnival took place from April 16 to 19 in Magruder Park. Residents rode carnival rides, tried their luck on carnival games, ate funnel cake and rode down a long slide on a potato sack. On Saturday evening, the city hosted a live band—the Fabulous Bel Airs— and capped off the night with fireworks.
The City of Hyattsville also held a parade on April 18, and just announced awards.
