BY CAROLINE SELLE — In what police say appears to be a random attack, a man sitting in a parked vehicle was attacked by another man wielding a machete on July 18. The incident occurred in the 5700 block of Ager Road.
“The victim is still in the hospital and is intubated,” said Lt. Chris Purvis of the Hyattsville City Police Department. The man received several severe cuts. “At this point, and with limited information from the victim due to his condition, it appears random.”
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male driving a white pickup truck.
