Lane Striping Overnight

Line striping equipment on 40th Pl.
Posted on: July 13, 2014

Drivers nervous about the unfettered flow of traffic on recently paved Crittenden St. and 40th Pl. will breathe easier Sunday morning.  A City of Hyattsville contractor is working overnight tonight to inscribe road markings to the south Hyattsville street. Flag men were directing alternating, one-way traffic in the work zone.

According to project foreman Stephanie Davis, the crew would complete crosswalk and stop lines, as well as a solid double line in the median, before the night was through.  Speed humps are the responsibility of another contractor and have yet to be installed.
