Laurel City Council President James Kole (Ward 1) addresses the crowd during the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department's (LVFD) Memorial Day service at Ivy Hill Cemetery. For 51 years, the LVFD, along with members from the Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad, the American Legion Post 60 and the Laurel Police Department have recognized veterans who have passed away on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend with a service.
