Hyattsville announces 25 year lease on Arcade Building with Pyramid Arts Center

Posted on: May 5, 2015

BY REBECCA BENNETT — The Hyattsville City Council voted on May 4 to approve a 25 year lease between the Pyramid Arts Center and the city that would move the organization into the now-vacant Arcade Building at 4318 Gallatin Street.

“Founded in 1981, Pyramid Atlantic is a contemporary arts center that builds communities that give life to papermaking, printmaking and artist books. Pyramid Atlantic provides studio space for artists, arts education programs for youth and adults and community engagement programs for people of all ages and abilities,” a city press release said.

The Hyattsville Life & Times will have much more on this in the June print edition.
