Holiday house tour a success

Posted on: January 11, 2024

Featuring nine stops along with bonus stops at Laurel Haunt and Clyopatra Winery, Laurel Historical Society’s holiday house tour received rave reviews and attendance exceeded last year’s turnout, said Ann Bennett, executive director of the society. “People were definitely ready to get out again and get in the holiday spirit,” Bennett wrote in an email.

Winning the people’s choice award (by one point), The Big House, on Montgomery Street, was the first stop on the tour.  Second place went to the shingle house on 6th Street, third stop on the tour, according to Abby Carver, education and outreach coordinator for Laurel Historical Society.
