Green Line service adjustments September 5 to 7

Posted on: September 5, 2014

According to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Green Line trains will run every 16 minutes from 10:00pm Friday, September 5 to system close Sunday evening.  Trains normally run every 12 minutes.

The delays are due to a test track for new 7000 series rail cars being built between Prince George’s Plaza and Greenbelt, according to WMATA.

Metro says it is investing $5.5 billion on system improvements, which include new rail, ties, platforms, escalators, signals, lighting, communication systems, and more.

Check WMATA.com for a complete list of track work this weekend.
