The Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department says 11 new emergency medical technicians have recently joined the department.  Nearly a dozen more are also enrolled in upcoming EMT and paramedic courses, they say.

The department credits its increased recruitment efforts to a Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response grant, as well as “the tireless efforts of our dedicated recruitment team, EMS officers and support from the department’s leadership.”

HVFD is looking for more volunteers.  For more information , visit their online recruitment center.
