BY REBECCA BENNETT — After two days of trying to navigate around or through the intersection of East West Highway and Baltimore Avenue in Riverdale Park, commuters should find relief Friday morning trying to navigate around town.  A massive water main break on Wednesday caused a traffic nightmare for some on not only East West Highway, but on alternative routes, such as Queens Chapel.

On Thursday morning, Councilmember Bart Lawrence (Ward 1) said, “I was able to walk more quickly from 42nd Ave. to Queens Chapel than the cars were able to drive the same distance.”

WSSC said at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday that all lanes were open.
