BY REBECCA BENNETT — On September 8, the matter of a Chick-fil-A drive-through once again came before the Prince George’s County District Council.  County councilmember Will Campos (District 2) requested the matter be scheduled for oral arguments before he leaves office.

After a Maryland Court of Special Appeals limited the District Council’s planning role earlier this year, the Council chose not approve a recently contentious McDonald’s drive-through in the Home Depot across the street from the proposed Chick-fil-A.

Likely replacing Campos on the County Council in January is Deni Taveras, the Democratic nominee for the District 2 seat he is vacating.  Campos is moving on to the state legislature, and will be on the November ballot as the Democratic nominee for the newly-created Maryland State District 47B.

The Hyattsville Life & Times is following this story and will provide updates as they are available.
