Construction begins outside Vigilante Coffee; shop still open

Posted on: January 25, 2015

BY REBECCA BENNETT — Construction has begun to replace some of the asphalt in front of Vigilante Coffee with a porous surface, which will address stormwater management and set the stage for possible outdoor seating.  Patrons of the roastery will see construction for several days, but should be advised that the coffee shop will still be open for business, according to Daniel Simon, owner of the former Palmer Ford building.

During this time, 5 percent of Vigilante’s profits during the week of construction will go to Hyattsville-based Community Crisis Services, according to Simon.
