What do you want the area around the Prince George’s Plaza Metro and the Mall at Prince George’s to look like in the next 20 years? How would you like to see it become the “new downtown” in Hyattsville?
These are questions the update to the Prince George’s Plaza Transit District Development Plan, originally written in 1998, are supposed to answer.
The Prince George’s County Planning Department has released a schedule for the community design workshop (charrette) to bring the community together an answer those questions.
A charrette is an intensive, hands-on planning and design exercise where planners, property and business owners and other interested persons work together to discuss issues and potential solutions, create alternatives, and finally settle on a preferred plan for the future of the area.
