Car crashes into Liberty Tax

BY REBECCA BENNETT — According to the Hyattsville City Police Department (HCPD), a driver lost control of a car and crashed into the Liberty Tax building in the 5100 block of Baltimore Avenue. The incident happened on Sept. 12 at approximately 4:45 a.m., police said.

The driver does not remember how the accident happened, according to HCPD.  He was taken to MedStar Washington Hospital with head trauma.

Police said the driver was not cited.

As of Sept. 16, Liberty Tax had not reopened.
