BY REBECCA BENNETT — On Thursday, May 28, every single child at Hyattsville Elementary School (HES) from preschool to 5th grade had a piece of art showcased at the school’s art show, according to art teacher Sarah Yazvac.

Yazvac, who began teaching at HES this fall, said this is the first time the school’s had an art show in a long time, because it didn’t have an art teacher.  She successfully used an online fundraising tool to buy a drying rack for the art room in December.
